Abstract (EN)
Hemolysis is the disruption of erythrocyte membranes due to mechanical, chemical, or immunological causes, resulting in the release of hemoglobin and other functional proteins into the plasma. This leads to errors in all blood gas measurements. In our study, we proposed that, instead of using a whole tube of blood from the patient, a much smaller sample could be measured with a mobile device to prevent the waste of entire samples. This device could also be used to detect hemolytic anemia, which develops as a result of hemolysis. The device was constructed using an SMD RGB LED as the light source and an Osram DIL SMT sensor as the receiver sensor. The device components were assembled using a Wemos D1 developer kit.
