Abstract (EN)
VIII. İNGİLİZCE ÖZET The Candida species isolated from blood and Antifungal Susceptibility In this study, our aim was to clasify yeast fungus and antifungal suscepbbility from yeast isolated blood culture samples that has been sent from various services of CBÜ Medical school Hafsa Sultan Hospital. For this purpose, we analysed yeast fungus that isolated from the material which contains Candida had been taken blood culture and sent to bacteriology labratory at hospital. Germ tub test, cornmeal tween 80 and integral system yeasts plus system (Liofilchem Diag, Italy) has been used to clasify yeast fungus isolated from analyzed samples. Antifungal suscepbility of yeast fungus for amfoterisin B, vorikonazol, flukonazol, ketakonazol, itrakonazol, caspofungin are measured by E test system. Most commanly isolated type among the studied Candida is C.tropicalis belongs to non-albicans candida strains were found more fruquently. On the type bases, C.tropicalis 53 (%62,4), C.albicans 23 (%27), C.glabrata 6 (%7), C.parapsilosis 1 %1,2), C. guilliermondii 1 (%1,2) ve C.kruse 1 (%1,2) were found. C.albicans 23 (%27), Non-albicans Candida 62 (%73) were found most commonly among the isolated yeasts. In this only caspofungin resistancy were not found, among the 85 strains one of them (%1,8) showed amfoterisin B resistancy at the antifungal suscepbility test. 28 strains (%32,9) fluconazole, 22 strains (%25,9) itrakonazole, 15 strains (%17,6) ketakonazole, 9 strains (%10,6) vorikonazole were resistant. Results of this study; because o the increasing frequency of non-albicans candida types and the increasing antifungal resistancy has showed significance of suscebility test in treatment planing. This results may help emprical treatment planing againts candidemi. Key words: Candida, blood culture, identification, antifungal suscepbility
