Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to reveal the healing effect of selenium in boron stressed canola (Brassica napus ssp. oleífera L.). Although there is a protective and curative effect of selenium in plants under abiotic stress conditions, there are many gaps in the literature. In our study, the plants of canola (Brassica napus ssp. oleífera L.) were grown in the plant growth cabinet for 12 days and were subjected to stress for 12 hours with only boron and selenium doses as well as their mixtures in different ratios. These applications included 1.5 g B, 3 g B, 3 mg Se and 6 mg Se respectively, combined applications 1.5 g B + 3 mg Se, 1.5 g B + 6 mg Se, 3g B + 3 mg Se and 3 g B + 6 mg Se contains. In addition to the morphological observations of stress level morphological observations of canola plants, gene expression, protein content and cellular MDA levels of defence enzymes were also investigated. Ascorbate peroxidase, catalase, superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, and glutathione reductase genes are mostly down-regulated while ascorbic leaf samples taken from boron stressed canola plants, ascorbate peroxidase (1.5 g B + 6 mg Se and 3 g B + 6 mg Se) Some of them show up-regulation, such as superoxide dismutase (1.5 g B + 3 mg Se), catalase (3 g B, 3 mg Se and 3 g B + 6 mg Se) and peroxidase (1.5 g B). In addition, morphological observations showed obvious results in 3 g / L boron application, but boron stress symptoms of plants were observed in other applications. In the evaluation of lipid peroxidation, which is the cellular marker of the stress mechanism, the MDA content was measured, and a notable increase was observed only in 1.5g / L B administration. In the light of the data obtained, selenium applied under boron stress, which limits yield in the world and in our country, has shown that it can reduce stress factors in plant defence mechanism.
