Abstract (EN)
Today, customers want the product they will buy not only to function well, but also to meet their needs in a timely manner and to meet their emotional needs with the visuality of the product. Kansei engineering is the method that best combines customers' emotional needs for the product and its visual characteristics. Kansei engineering is a method that develops new product design according to consumer emotions. In addition, Kansei engineering has been considered superior to other similar methods in transforming the customer's emotional needs into parameters. The problem addressed in this study is to realize the driver's seat design that the customers will like most, with the support of a designer, in a company that produces seats for the automotive industry in Bursa. As it is known, the driver's seat is given great importance every day. Because a good seat provides the driver and passengers with safe, comfortable, healthy and enjoyable journeys. For this purpose, the Kansei engineering method, which is thought to best meet customer feelings in driver seat design, was applied in the study. For this reason, the company's driver's seat design was carried out in six stages followed by the Schütte Kansei engineering model and the Kansei design model. Eight seats were designed according to Kansei words with the support of the designer, and then the Kansei values of these seats were evaluated by statistical methods such as Reliability Analysis, Explanatory Factor Analysis, Multidimensional Scaling and Logistic Regression Analysis. The driver's seat, which has the highest Kansei value words, was found suitable for the design. Accordingly, in the study, the cream-colored, leather, movable headrest, seat support and seat adjustment seat model "5" was found to be the most suitable for the design as it gives the drivers the highest sense of confidence
