Özet (EN)

Cancer is a serious disease, associated with morbidity and mortality, and constantly expanding. Vitamin D is thought to be anti-cancer agent , plays an important role in bone mineralization , immunomodulatory function in addition , it has the feature of neurotransmitters, hormones capable vitamin. The scope of this thesis in patients of lung, colon, breast and pancreatic cancer, and control groups in the SEAL I VDR gene and BSM polymorphisms with serum vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus levels, were examined. Our study consist of 229 patients diagnosis with cancer that 63 lung cancer ,58 colon cancer, 55 breast cancer and 58 pancreatic cancer being treated at Gaziantep University Oncology Hospital, and control group 59 patient choosen between cancer patient ` first-degree relatives are not diagnosis with cancer. In the Cancer patients and the control groups, the serum level of vitamin D measured using immune chemiluminesans method, while the calcium and phosphorus levels using a spectrophotometric method, the non-genomic difference between patient and control groups were examined.Again , in the same study group by PCR followed by DNA isolation is made of VDR gene polymorphisms FOK I and BSM looking at the cancer patient group were examined by comparing the genomic effects. As a result of this study, Vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus and it?s importance of the human body, In case of VDR SEAL I and BSM gene polymorphisms conditions that may occur is disclosed to continue this and similar studies suggest that a more comprehensive manner.Key Words: Vitamin D, polymorphism, Cancer, Calcium, Phosphorus
