Özet (EN)

Medicine and health have the most important place among the disciplines that contribute to the survival of human beings. It is a fact that many branches of science, including medicine, emerged and existed under the umbrella of philosophy. Although its name is not a philosophy of medicine, many physicians and philosophers such as Galen, Hippocrates, Ibn Sina, Razi, Zahravi have achieved extraordinary successes in medicine in the past. Meanwhile, Chinese, Egyptian, Indian, Greek, Iranian and Ottoman contributions to medicine cannot be denied. In this study, the book of "Canon in the Medicine", which has a great influence in the world and especially in the Islamic world, will be evaluated in terms of medical philosophy. As well as the emergence of this great work written by Ibn Sina in the Islamic world, it is important that we talk about the legacy of humanity in the field of Medicine. First of all, we will focus on the philosophy of medicine in the Islamic world around the sections related to "healthy life and medicine" in the Qur'an and the hadiths. After that, the developments in the Islamic world such as physicians, patients and hospitals will be discussed. Lastly, the evidence-based medicine that emerged under the leadership of Ibn Sina, Razi and Zahravi, and the handbook of this field, "Kanun fi't-Tıp" will be of central importance in our thesis. Then, the impact of this book on the understanding of medicine that emerged after writing, and its contribution to the formation of evidence-based medicine will be discussed.
