The chaos word used in expressing irregularity in everyday life is used to express the complex situation of nonlinear systems in academic studies. While the chaos situation is generally considered to be indecision and irregularity, systems with chaotic behavior have a harmony in itself that we can not determine. Chaotic systems can be described as systems that exhibit non-periodic behaviors that are sensitive to initial conditions and that are complex enough to not be measured. Chaotic systems have a wide and scattered spectrum like noise. Various mechanisms and algorithms have been developed to prevent undesired chaotic behavior of these chaotic systems which is used in engineering. Chaotic signals are used in secure communication, internet banking, data encryption, increasing laser power, synchronizing electronic circuit outputs, image compression processing and transmission, power electronics circuits and many other fields. In order to use these chaotic systems which are frequently used in the engineering field, chaotic control and chaotic synchronization of the systems are needed. Lorenz, Chen, Sprott etc. chaotic systems which are used in secure communication and in many other applications have to be synchronized in terms of their simultaneous operation. Synchronization of these chaotic systems used in many communication applications can be achieved by using many different synchronization methods. In this thesis study, the chaotic systems existing in the literature were examined and chaotic simulations of these systems were realized. Master-slave synchronization of the systems were performed via chaotic simulations. Synchronization outputs have been obtained on the basis of both simulated and real time applications. In addition, secure communication applications were realized between synchronized chaotic systems and the results obtained have been interpreted.
