Abstract (EN)

Limited resources have led to the reuse of some products and resource generation efforts. For instance returnable glass bottles, recyclable paper products, reuse of metals have been applied for many years now. The main reason for this is that using the existing one is more advantageous economically than remanufacturing of a new one. Increase in such processes brings out sectors related to the reuse of them in any field. Packaging, paper, plastic and metal industries are indicated as the oldest ones among these sectors. Furthermore, reuse of products has increased in electric and electronic products, automotive industry and nutrition sectors. These samples are investigated in reverse logistic activities content in the literature. When traditional production activity is discussed, it is considered in a series of supply chains including raw material supply, production process, stock control and distribution processes. This chain structure, where supply chain and reverse supply chain activities are considered as integrated, is called closed loop supply chain. When the running of this system is considered, it is made of the collection of products from the final user, determination of the pieces to be used in remanufacturing, testing, provision of the running pieces in place of not running defective pieces and communicating of the completed products to the final users. A conceptual model and mixed integer programming method was used and a mathematical model was formed regarding closed loop supply chain network including remanufacturing of used cellular phones and presentation of them as a new product to the market.Research questions in the study content are listed as: 1) the location of the third party remanufacturing facility and how the economic sustainability of this firm is decided when the data in the market of Turkey are considered. 2) Which regain processes should be applied once cell phones complete their lifetime as a product, and what the basic motivations should be in the application of regain processes and what are the expectations? 3) How is the application samples in various countries and fundamental gains summarized? The content, limitations and contributions will be presented in the 2nd section, limitation process and administration structure of the closed loop supply chain concept will be presented in the 3rd section, remanufacturing process, application areas and legal procedures will be presented in the 4th section, literature analysis about the subject will be presented in the 5th section, and the definition of the problem, cellular telephone sector, research model and analysis results will be presented in the 6th section, and an evaluation of the study results and research opportunities will be presented in the 7th section. Key Words: Remanufacturing, Mixed Integer Linear Programming, Closed Loop Supply Chain Network, Cell Phone
