On statistically convergent sequences of closed sets

This thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to introduction. In the second chapter, some basic concepts, theorems and some properties related to them that are necessary for our study are given. In the third chapter, definitions, notations and theorems related to the statistical convergence are taken into consideration by using natural density. In the fourth chapter, types of convergence of sequences of sets, which are Kuratowski and Hausdorff, are emphasized. In the fifth chapter, which is the main part of our thesis, Kuratowski statistical convergence of sequences of the closed sets is investigated in detail by using the definition, notation and theorems given in the previous chapters. Finally in the sixth chapter, Hausdorff statistical convergence is given and the relationship between Kuratowski and Hausdorff statistical convergence is examined.
