Abstract (EN)

In the current study, the effect in ovo administration of the black cumin oil, grape seed oil or black pepper oil and with antioxidant properties on hatching performance, post hatch broiler growth performance and some blood metabolits were investigated. A total of 200 fertile eggs [(Ross 308; broiler breeders age 34 weeks; average egg weight (67.98±g)] were divided into five groups: negative control (untouched), positive control (olive oil, 0.1 ml/egg), black pepper oil (0.1 ml/egg), grape seed oil (0.1 ml/egg) or black cumin oil (0.1 ml/egg). Experimental preparations were injected into eggs at day of 16 of incubation period. Results showed that hatching weight, number of female chick decreased by in ovo black pepper oil injection. In addition, late embryo mortality was found to be high in the group in ovo injection black cumin oil. Serum concentration of TTL, Disulfide balance, TP, and AST were numerically changed by plant essential oil groups than controls. In conclusion, a trend has been determined that in ovo injections of plant essential oil may have potential to increase the number of males for broiler industry and reducing oxidative stress, while also an increase in embryonal mortality.
