Abstract (EN)

Researches on the propagation of black mulberry fruit species and hormone applications have increased the success of this species with cutting propagation. However, in order to increase the rooting rate of black mulberry cuttings to higher levels, at the same time to increase the number and quality of roots of cutting, some other factors as well as IBA hormone, affecting the rooting need to be studied. In this study, the effects of wounding in the rooting region of black mulberry wood cuttings and also the pH of IBA solution on callus formation and rooting were investigated. In this study, the effects of applications on callus formation, rooting, decay rates, root number and root length were investigated by applying lateral and vertical lines to the bottom of cuttings as well as pH levels of 4, 5.5 and 7.0 of IBA solution used as a single dose of 6000 ppm. In the study, the highest average rooting rate was obtained from pH 7.0 level and steep incision application with 73.33%. While wounding applications increased the calcification rate relatively, this increase was statistically insignificant. On the other hand, wounding applications significantly reduced the decay rates in cuttings. Again, as the pH level of IBA solution decreased, the decay rate of the cuttings increased.
