Geological and geotechnical investigations of the Karaduvar (Mersin) Wastewater Treatment Plant

Investigation area is located in Karaduvar disrict which is about 15 km distance of southeast of Mersin city.This study has been made in order to search the engineering features of the soils where the waste water treatment facilities baselines will be laid and to determine the possible soil problems and naturel disaster existence.In order to detemine of the declared objectives, the several investigation holes are drilled and insitu standart penetration tests are done in the research area. Also, sieve analysis, consistency index, water content, consolidation, triaxial compression test, permeability, sulphate analysis have been made on the disturbed and undisturbet ground sample and soil properties are determined.
