Religious terms in the works of Karakhanids, Kharezm andKipchak Turkish

Turks began to encounter Islam from the 7th century BC and adopted Islam to a great extent in the 11th century. The rapid spread of Islam among the Turks required the use of many religious terms belonging to this religion. In this study, the religious terms used in the first works of Islamic Turkish literatüre written in the period of Karakhanids when Islam was accepted and in the later works written with the Khwarezm and Kipchak Turkish which are the historical Turkic languages, and their meanings, origins, rations and which works were used for the first time were investigated. How the religious terms of Turkish origin in the early works of Islamic Turkish literature were created and the semantic, morphological and phonetic changes of these terms in later works were examined. The terms in the scanned works were examined in terms of their etimology and morphology, their proportions were determined and shown in graphics. A dictionary of all religious terms in these works has been created. In addition, the terms are classified according to their conceptual areas and the Turkish equivalents of some terms entered into Turkish from foreign languages and used in these works and abandoned in time are given. Contrary to popular belief, in the early works of Islamic Turkish literatüre, ıt was found that there were much more religious terms of Turkish origin, that these words were abandoned in the later periods and that they could not use as term, and that their Arabic equivalents were preferred instead of these.
