Özet (EN)

This study was conducted to determine the appropriate harvesting time for yield and essential oil in lavender of first year (plant year) in the ecological conditions of Karaisalı district of Adana province. The experiment was designed base on randomized factorial plot design under marginal terrain conditions and its flower was harvested at 4 different times on 29 June 2019, 7 July 2019, 22 July 2019 and 3 August 2019. In this study, plant height, plant flower stem length, plant flower spike length, fresh branched flower yield, dry branched flower yield, dry flower yield, essential oil content and essential oil yield were examined. According to the data obtained in the study, plant height was found between 33.63 and 42.66 cm, plant flower stem length was 18.13 and 19.26 cm and flower spike length was between 8.60 and 9.96 cm. Fresh branched flower yield was 14.27 - 18.66 kg da-1, dry branched flower yield was 4.09 - 7.27 kg da -1 and dry flower yield was between 2.56 - 4.64 kg da-1. The essential oil content and yields were ranging from 3.96- 5.80% and 0.90 – 0.206 kg da-1 respectively, according to harvesting times. The ratio of linalool in essential oil ranged between 17.48 % with 25.75 %, and linalyl acetate ratio ranged between 14.05% with 21.67%.
