There was no needs to make asystematic planning on the open green areas due to the conservation of rural settlement charasteristics. However, eventhough the town is growing up slowly, it will go on duration of social- economical and physical developğment. In the future, it is strongly possible that town will need an system of open and green area. In this study it was aimed to determine the planning principles of amounts and systems that refer to the open and green areas of Karaisalı with respect to social-cultural needs. Consequently, the system of open and green area was established according to principles which determined by this study. Key Words: Open and green area, city, developing II
