Abstract (EN)

The emergence of the industrial revolution has led to profound changes in many areas of the world. Developments in the field of industry have increased the demand for fast transportation vehicles and accelerated the emergence of railways. The goods produced in the factories have easily become portable to the farthest reaches and enabled serious developments not only in the economic field but also in the social, cultural and political spheres for societies. In addition to these effects, railways have also shown themselves in the architectural field. Due to the development of the railways, station structures have emerged. Many buildings such as water tank, warehouse building, locomotive warehouse, lodgings and worker's huts were built with the station building in the station buildings. Many of the buildings at Karaman railway station, which were discussed within the scope of the thesis, started construction in 1903, but there are many buildings built in different periods to date. Each of these structures is an important value because it is a reflection of its periods with its contributions to Karaman city and these values should be preserved and transferred to the future in a unique way.
