Abstract (EN)

Transportation is one of the first subjects that comes to mind when it comes to logistics science, which is as old as the history of mankind, which has been changed according to the conditions of the age and which is vital in meeting the most basic needs. Today, transportation activities are encountered in almost every sector, especially in the manufacturing sectors, which contribute to the development of societies. The reason for this is the need for the products to be delivered to the places of consumption. One of the main issues in transport activities is the type of cargo that is subject to transport. The loads carried out the products arising from the developments in production technologies and innovative ideas show differences with their structural features. Among these loads, the so-called dangerous goods, the majority of which are composed of chemical substances, are of particular importance in terms of legal regulations and environmental safety measures. The basis of this study has two parts: first one is dangerous cargo as subjects of transport and second one is road transport. Based on these two fundamentals, we derived our research question as ''What are the problems and solutions encountered in the dangerous cargo transportation sector on the highways of our country?'' The data used in research obtained by interview and observation methods were analyzed by AHP method. In conclusion we divided the problems which we obtained into five groups. After that we developed a model proposal. Keywords: Road Transport, Dangerous Cargo, ADR
