Abstract (EN)

Models to simulate details of and traffic flows observed, are based onmathematics and statistics. In this study; four different models developed havethree main parts: ?input?; traffic data collected by WIM stations and producedfrom them, ?simulation?; simulation models and their linkages, and ?output?;analyses and evaluations of the results produced by the models. Based on theobservations held by WIM data; vehicle type, speed, axle load time headwaysand their distributions and mean, standart deviation, minimum and maximumvalues of vehicle composition and time headways among the vehicles passedover the section or the measuring point, are used in models as an input. Whilefirst two models; use less amount of data and produces simulation output, others use more detailed data and generates more complex and detailed output. All these models can be used seperately or as combined or integrated mannerSimulation models developed promise usefulness and ease of use when comparetwith data held.Science Code : 624.04.00Key Words : Traffic, simulation, time headway, WIM, modelPage Number: 134Adviser : Assit.
