Abstract (EN)

In parallel with the development of technologies and economies in the world and Turkey and the increase in the number of vehicles, injuries and mortality rates in traffic accidents have increased. The causes of the traffic accidents are based on the investigated reports. Organizations and their work have been researched for safe road transportation in the world and in Turkey. It seems that the main problem of road safety is human. This problem is a speeding violation in highways. The work done to ensure that drivers do not breach speed has been researched. The studies on the speed limit control in the traffic used by the Management Information Systems were searched and statistical results tried to be revealed. The application of speed control methodology with the global positioning system, which can reduce the cost of speed control activities in traffic, can reduce the rate of mortal and injured accidents by about 20%, while per cent per-vehicle speed limit control can be implemented as a methodology.
