Özet (EN)

By the development of technology, the importance of composite material connection designs which usage areas become widespread have increased. The connection design of the composite materials are implemented by using connecting elements such as bolts, pins, adhesives and rivets widely using as joining elements. Depending on the type of using the coupling elements used, the connection designs have different mechanical properties. In this study, carbon fiber and glass fiber composite materials with 0° inclination angle on which holes in circular, square and hexagonal profiles were combined using epoxy adhesive and soluble joint methods. The purpose of this study was to determine which profile structure and connection method was suitable for stress accumulation and load capacities in carbon and glass fiber composite materials. Numerical and experimental studies were carried out for this purpose. In experimental studies, samples of different profiles were subjected to tensile testing on the tensile tester after the connections were made. Numerical studies were used the ANSYS14 finite element package program for the design of specimens in different profiles and for the application of tensile tests. By comparing the results of experimental and numerical studies it was determined that the most appropriate profile structure was circular profile.
