Abstract (EN)

With new production methods developed in recent years, the usage areas of composite materials are increasing. The use of carbon fibers as reinforcement elements in composite materials is rapidly spreading with new production methods. The reinforcement is used in composite materials. In this experimental study, where carbon woven fabrics are used as reinforcements, it is aimed to examine the production and physical properties of carbon reinforced composite materials. In this study; Production of single and double-layer composite plates was carried out with VARTM (Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Moulding) method using 100% carbon woven fabrics in different weights and different weave types. These samples are made to be a twill-twill, plain-plain and twill-plain hybrid. Three point bending, tensile and notch impact tests were performed according to the relevant ASTM standards for the composite sheets produced. With the results obtained, the changes in the physical properties of the composite structure depending on the knitting type and fabric weight were examined.
