The impact of glass ceiling syndrome in career planning and development process: A research on working women

In the past, the problems faced by the increased employment of women in daily business life have also started to increase at similar rates. One of those is the glass ceiling syndrome. This problem has persisted since women started to exist in business. In other words, the glass roof syndrome, which is called the invisible obstacle, is one of the biggest obstacles that women faces in business life. The glass ceiling syndrome, which can be encountered by not only women but also all working groups, will be discussed conceptually in detail in this study and statistically derived data will be assessed by a survey of women workers from different sectors. In this work, which deals with the challenges of women's business life and the problems in their progress, the effects of the glass ceiling syndrome in the career planning and development process, it is aimed to be a work that is characterized by the specific situation that we can reach about the recent situation in recent years. In this context, it is aimed to reach a meaningful result by conducting an applied research in İstanbul.
