Abstract (EN)
Karl Marx and Max Weber are frequently compared as two theorists of capitalism. Weber's cultural interpretation of capitalism has led him to be referred to as anti-Marx. It is possible to see a shared philosophical proximity in the sociologies of Marx and Weber in relation to the human problem within capitalism. Marx's concept of alienated labor refers to the expression of the human in capitalism increasingly distancing themselves from themselves and losing their humanity. In the end, the human becomes more machine and less human through the process of alienation from the product of their labor, the production process, their essential type, and other humans. Weber's concept of rationalization shows some similarities to Marx's concept of alienated labor. The rationalization process, which describes interconnected processes in which the dominant position is taken by means-ends rational action over time, portrays the intellectualization of the world in a negative sense as the disenchantment. Weber thinks that in the end, humanity can enter an iron cage. In this study, an attempt has been made to show the similarities between Marx and Weber's approaches to bureaucracy, while not ignoring their differences, in the light of the concepts of alienation and rationalization. These similarities can be evaluated through themes such as mechanization, reversal of means and ends, secrecy and closure.
