Common food habits and humor for cultures living in and around Kars

In this study, the subject is the common food habits of different groups living in Kars who are known as Yerli, Azeris, Kurds, Terekemes, Malakanların and Alevis called the Turkmen in this region. Way of life of groups, preferences, relationships with each other, conflicts were examined to understand the the social structure and the culture of the region in the form of continuous change. During these inspections, the effectiveness of the geographical and climatic conditions, changing world, developing communication, the university opened in the city, migration, the and traditions that are studied to protect are examined to see the effects on the relationships of groups. The goal is to understand the social structure, culture, and common life of groups by food consumption habits, similarities, partnerships and to determine how effective the social changes to their lives in Kars At the end of the study, eating habits which are formed in accordance with the geographical structure and climate, are almost the same for all groups. But the differences between groups were determined with small differences in the cooking technique or with a spice used extra. That is the difference created in the identity with the use of dishes. It is observed that the humor is another means to emphasize the differences of different groups. It is observed that the mutual dislike and superior properties are highlighted through jokes and stories that took place or has taken place. Funny stories had comes to chats during food eaten in the houses, to the large dining tables, to dining tables of local and administrative managers. To quarrel with humor is seems a good solution instead of fight for these people who think the state forgot themselves, receiving services in the back row and who emphasizing the resentment.
