Abstract (EN)
Assembly line balancing problems are generally focused on the simple assembly line problem. In recent years, it is seen that the studies carried out include realistic problems. In this study, the line balancing problem of a real assembly line system with parallel workstations is mathematically formulated and solved. Platforms with different working heights are assembled with on-site assembly technique in a company that produces personnel elevating platforms where the study is carried out. Materials are conveyed along the flow line by using equipment and the processes on the part; It is aimed to turn the stations created by combining them into a line formed by aligning them along a line, taking into account the constraints such as the priority relations between them and the cycle time. In this thesis study, with the design of an efficient assembly line, instead of a stationary assembly that needs more time and manpower, can remove a platform approximately every 24 hours, more platforms are installed in the same time, ensure a regular material flow, use the machine capacities at the highest level, It is aimed to design an assembly line that minimizes downtime or balancing losses. The problem is formulated and solved using the integer programming model in the LINGO software.
