Abstract (EN)

Ikhwān al-Ṣafā is the name of the community that lived in Basra in the tenth century and came together for philosophical, religious, scientific and political purposes. We have very little information about this community, which conducts its activities in secret. Ikhwān al-Ṣafā who left us only a number of encyclopedic treatises, did not explicitly mention themselves in these epistles, and preferred to keep both their identities and activities secret. Due to this privacy policy they created, this community has been associated with many sects throughout history and it has been claimed that they reflect the views of those sects. This identity confidentiality, which has occupied both eastern and western researchers for many years, is still not clear. Based on their discourses in the treatises and a few historical data, they are called Nusairiyya, Durziyya, Ismāʿīliyya etc. What the researchers generally associate with the sects is the possibility of their belonging to the Ismāʿīliyya sect. Our study aims to reveal the discourses and data on the relationship of the two groups and to compare the two groups in terms of thought. Since a comparison to be made in every aspect will exceed the scope of the master's study, only the views of prophethood and revelation were compared and similarities and common aspects were revealed.
