Abstract (EN)

In terms of comparative political theory, Ahmet Davutoğlu's analysis of the discourse of civilization and the concept of self-consciousness and the transition from individual consciousness to collective consciousness between the Islamic and Western world and its manifestations in the fields of state, society and politics and the concept of civilization, which is considered as a higher category, will be discussed. I will try to analyze the form passed through the filter of cognition. This process affects both individual and social relations of individuals. Especially in the last 20-30 years, the identity revivals in the ancient civilization basins are used as a serious argument against Eurocentrism. In fact, these revivals have led to the formation of a rich literature both in the Western and Eastern academic world, and also in the theoretical and comparative studies that try to understand this revival. Likewise, these discussions have begun to play an important role in the domestic and foreign policies of the countries themselves. At this point, Comparative political theory and in this context Ahmet Davutoğlu's Civilization Discourse, one of its pioneers in Turkey, and the analysis of the concept of Self-Perception, which is a central concept in this discourse, will be discussed in a comparative way.
