These are opening roller, rotor and take-off nozzle.Yarn is under a high friction force during the spinning process when passingover the take-off nozzle with nearly 90o degrees angle. This high friction force, afteryarn forming and before winding, causes important results on the yarn hairness, strength, neps, unevenness and yarn faults. The take-off nozzle?s surface structure(flat, spiral, notched and notch count) has high effects on the yarn properties and theother important parameter for choosing the take-off nozzle type is the raw material(fibre). In this study, four different sliver (polyester/cotton and polyester/viskonblended) and four different take-off nozzle are used for producing yarns with thesame linear densities. These yarns are tested for yarn hairiness, strength, unevennessand yarn faults. The test results are investigated by using statistical analysis methodsin order to analyse the effect of the different nozzle types on the yarn which areproduced at the same conditions with the same raw-material.Key Words: Open-End Rotor Yarn, Spinning Components, Take-Off Nozzle, YarnProperties, Statistical AnalysisII
