Abstract (EN)

Cataphoretic electrocoating is currently the most up to date and the most effective technology of protection against corrosion for various types of metal products. Lately its use became widespread in primer coating of among industries, such as wheels, radiators, refrigerators, washing machnies and various vehicle parts.Compared to conventional primer coat applications, it has major superiorties. Layer is smooth, homogenous and of same thickness, covers sharp edges and corners together with welded areas, has very good mechanical parameters such as high hardness, pressure resistance, elasticity, resistance to shock and very high durability in salt chamber, high production speed, very high urilization of paint are these important properties. The paint used for electrocoating is of low environmental harm and low fire risk.In this study, from surface treatment to paint curing the process of cataphoretic electrocoating application is inspected and design and application methods are examined. Also, like in all production processes, the analysis of the investment and operaritng costs gaining importance. Therefore, these inspections are also made in order to compare the application with conventional primer coat applications.
