Abstract (EN)
The Participation Banks, whose dates of foundation correspond to theeighties, came into existence as a result of the changes that took place in theeconomical politics of our country. These banks, which served as supplements of theother banks in the initial days of their establishments, provide banking services as athird type of banks besides trade and investment-development banks at this pointwhere we?ve reached now.Working in the interest-free banking area, the participation banks, with theirproduct and service policies, have a different position than the other banks.Compared to the other banks, although it hasn?t been long since their establishment,the participation banks have obtained a large market share in this short time period,which is totally a consequence of the country?s need for such a financial service.Another reason for this achievement is stated to be that 99% of the country?spopulation is formed by Muslims.One of the most important assets of the participation banks which work in thefinance sector is the intellectual capital that they have. The educated personnel,which are also called as the intellectual capital of the enterprises, are gained as anoutcome of lengthy educational processes. In order to be able to compete both inother banks? and their own markets in the competitive market conditions, theparticipation banks should educate and improve their personnel according to themarket conditions of the day.The education of the personnel in the participation banks forms the subject ofthis study. In order to explain this topic, initially the properties and the history of theparticipation banks are stated while in the following sections first ?personneleducation? and then ?in-service education? subjects are explained. In the last section,the questionnaire made about this topic is evaluated and propositions for solutionsare presented.
