Participation management practices effect on commitment: The sample of Iraq electricity industry

In this study; the effect of participatory management practices on organizational commitment was examined in the example of the Iraqi electricity sector. The universe of the research, which is within the scope of the relational scanning model, consists of the electricity sector employees in Iraq. The working group of the research consists of 145 people who can be reached and volunteered among the employees of the electricity generation and electricity distribution companies located in Baghdad, Iraq. The data of the research were obtained by applying the face-to-face survey method. In this direction, an opinion survey on the Iraqi electricity sector, employee general knowledge survey, Participant Management Scale and Organizational Commitment Scale were applied to the participants and the obtained data were analyzed with the SPSS statistical package program. As a result of the research, it was determined that the organizational commitment scale and sub-dimension scores of the employees and the participatory management scale did not show a significant difference according to sociodemographic characteristics. This study shows that it is very important for the Iraqi Electricity Sector employees to continue their participation in all activities carried out within the scope of the projects, and to constantly exchange information with their leaders and other employees, both in terms of transferring information for the formation of corporate memory and for the organizational development of the electricity sector.
