Abstract (EN)

Purpose: The aim of this course is to examine the effects of concept maps on the knowledge levels of the Physical Education Teacher (PET) candidates and on the micro teaching application skills. Material and Method: Quantitative and qualitative methods were used in the study. In the quantitative dimension of the research; Pre-test-posttest control group experimental design was used. The sample of the research; 19 experimental group (Xage= 22.15) and 17 control group (Xage= 22.17), a total of 36 PET section consists of third grade students (Xage = 22.16). Specialized Teaching Methods Knowledge Test was applied to these students. In the qualitative dimension; 10 participants from each group were selected with maximum diversity sampling. Micro teaching practices of the participants were recorded and examined by three experts with Physical Education and Sport Method Application Skills Observation Form (PESMASOF). In addition, the concept map created by the participants was scored with specialist in the field. Findings: In terms of Special teaching methods knowledge test (STMKT); Significant differences between the pre-post test scores of both the experimental and the control groups were in favor of the final tests (p <.05). Although there was no significant difference between the final test of the experimental and control groups and the BESYUB observation scores of the participants (p> .05), the order averages were higher in the experiment. Experimental participants; There was a moderately significant relationship between Grade Point Average (GPA) and PESMASO scores (r =.818; p <.05), and PESMASO and Concept Map (CM) scores (r =.685; p <.05). Results: In the case of PET candidates; It can be concluded that the concept map creation activity is effective in increasing both knowledge and micro teaching application levels.
