Abstract (EN)
Kaygusuz Abdal is the founder and an important representative of Alevi-Bektashi literature. He is the poet and author of approximately fifteen works that are very valuable for the Turkish language, culture and history. The poet, who was raised in the Alevi-Bektashi tradition, was affiliated with Abdal Musa from the Hacı Bektâş-ı Veli lineage living in Elmalı and was under his upbringing and service for a long time. While this review deals with the historical and social situation of Anatolia and Teke Province between the XIV-XV centuries, it also touches upon Kaygusuz's life and mentality in these regions. It aims to provide an evaluation of his thought structure by providing information within the framework of his identified works. In addition, the bibliographic analysis of Kaygusuz Abdal is also included in the study. Many literary and mystical studies have been made about Kaygusuz Abdal, one of the leading figures of Alevi-Bektashiism. However, unlike previous studies, this study evaluates Kaygusuz Abdal's works from a philosophical perspective. Focusing on the concept of God in Kaygusuz Abdal's thought, he discusses the theology in his works in detail. The study presents an examination of the understanding of God and the qualities of God in Kaygusuz Abdal's understanding. In the Alevi-Bektashi tradition, it seems that human value is closely associated with moral virtues. In addition to Kaygusuz Abdal's philosophical views about God, the importance he attaches to moral values such as decency, tolerance and patience is also noteworthy. For this reason, since Kaygusuz Abdal's works contain moral teachings along with philosophical thoughts, this study aims to evaluate and interpret all of his works. This study associates Kaygusuz Abdal with some Islamic philosophers and emphasizes his importance in the tradition of Islamic philosophy. In his works, some basic Sufi concepts related to the subject have been investigated. Accordingly, it has been concluded that Kaygusuz Abdal's wahdat includes expressions that include the understanding of the body.
