Abstract (EN)
In the 1970?s, the inadequcy of the the supply of local and physcial interferences to meet transportation demand was well understood. Contemporary transportation planning approaches, that put the human in the focus of planning instead of machine, appeared, According to this understanding, it is advocated that the supply of transport infrastructure can also create or eliminate the demand. In this study, it is researched how to organize and manage travel demands and behavior in urban transport by efficient use of transport structure.Travel behaviour topic has been intensively researched in foreign literature but the studies in domestic literature have recently been started. In this study, the influence of transport infrastructure on passenger?s behaviours are investigated and evaluated in the case study of Kayseri. After studying the factors that influence travel behaviour in terms of the characteristics of the the passenger and features of the travel, the transport data of Kayseri was classified under some criteria and the results were evaluated. It is thought that, this study, which considers contemporary appoach in transport planning in terms of travel behavior, contributes the shortcomings in literature. On this aspect, this study is a kind of source for urban transportation planning studies and it?s believed that it will be a useful resource for transportation planning profession and education.
