An evaluation on the tales of Kazakhstan

In the second half of the 19th century, Kazakh folklore and one of its richest genres, namely fairy tales, began to take their place in literature in Russian language. As Kazakhstan was under the reign of Russia at that time, most researches were conducted in Russian by Russian scientists. From 1860 onwards, Kazakh folk literature products began to be recorded. The researches of folk literature in this period were conducted by Sh.Valihanov, I. Altınsarin, A. Kunanbayev, V. Radloff, G. Potanin and İ. Berezin, and significant improvements were made in Kazakh folklore. In the early studies and researches carried out by Russian folk scientists, the effects of the nomadic culture of the Kazakh people can be observed in fairy tales. The narratives, fairy tales, epics and stories preserved, transformed and changed in accordance with Kazakh people's culture and beliefs, have survived in the words of Kazakh people for centuries unchangedly, and they constitute the treasure of Kazakh folklore. Fairy tales lead children to become merciful, just, good, and truthful and so they learn how to become the heroes of their own lives. When they listen to fairy tales, they begin to create their own fairy tales, develop the faculty of fictional creativity, and by this way they turn into heroes who try to help others in an idealistic way. Therefore, fairy tales play an important role in the character development of children. In fact, there is no folklore product that is richer than fairy tales, and the tales have an important place in the tradition of Kazakh tales compared to those in other countries However, the scientific compilation and research on Kazakh tales is very weak. Therefore, in our thesis, an evaluation was made about the tales in Kazakh folk literature. The aim of this study is to present tales that we have listened to and loved since childhood, not only as a work of art, but also as a cultural value with the social environment and conditions in which they are told. Our study is based on archetypal and psychoanalytic framework and is the first in this field. The research and analysis of fairy tales, which we have listened and loved since our chidhood periodnot only as works of art, but as products narrated in a social environment, will make significant contribution to folk literature tradition in Kazakh literature and the people there, and it will be possible to keep the tradition alive. All the academic studies on Kazakh fairy tales are included in our study, and a total of fifty Kazakh fairy tales are distinguished, classified and recorded in their original versions. They are translated into Turkey Turkish with a view to their genres and analysed according to their episodic structures, arhetypal contents and psychoanalytic features, which is the first study on them in this regard.
