Individual, family, community and state system in Kazan Tatarian epics

This study, "Individuals, Family, Society and State Structure in Kazan Tatars' Epics" aims to analyze the reflection of works of epic on the community life. In this regard, "Tatar Destanları I-II" published by Türk Dili Kurumu (Turkish Language Institution) and "Edigey" by Rüstem Sulti has been studied, and evaluations have been made upon these works of literature. In addition to the information of history, culture and literature of Kazan Tatars and Tatar tribes, the concept of "epic" and researches on epic tradition of Tatars have been summarized. Findings, obtained from the works of epic regarding individuals, family, society and state structure, have been analyzed in line with the title of the thesis.
