Determining the effect of insulation on noise level in digger loaders

Abstract (EN)

This study aim to investigate and map the effect of the noise and its intensity under working medium in the scope of occupational health safety that agreed with TSE. Heavy duty vehicles are most commonly working under dusty, noisy, heavy duty areas. Especially, these vehicles are creating noise pollution in suburians. To prevent the noise pollution caused by heavy duty vehicles official documents and regulations are carry out. Considering these informations, noise level of backhoe loaders at inner side or outer side of the cabin is determined. First of all, to improve noise level, determination of the noise source is defined which compared with limit level. As a result, effect of insulation materials on the control of noise and level of dB values are obtain. After coating process completed in the backhoe loader cabins, cabin interior noises decreased about 2-3 dB at low frequencies. At high frequencies considering cost and efficiency, isolation material doesn't have any positive affect and it shows that is not suitable to use in this case.
