Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT The archeology of Cyprus, especially in terms of terracotta figurines, presents an utter prosperous range. On the other hand, resources relating to spread of terracotta figurines, must be approached disorderly and wholly. Hence, within the thesis, the integrity is aimed by going around the old archeological studies. Instead of starting up from the analyses of clay, mostly intensified the iconographic sense of art by having regard to the early period relations of Cyprus. Since the early archaic period, it has been studied and listed how this sense of art impressed to East Greek towns such as Rodos, Datça, Mileto and Samos. In this study, by drawing attention to location of Cyprus, the role of Cypriot craftsmen in Greek art is stated. Thus, Cypriot sense of art is updated again which shouldn't be ignored in archeology literature. Keywords: Cypriot workshops, Cypriot figurines, East Greek sanctuaries, Cyprus typology
