The aim of this study is to evaluate and reveal characteristics such as animal type, breed, age, sex, diagnosis of orthopedic cases of cats and dogs brought to the Centre of Veterinary Health Practice and Research at Afyon Kocatepe University between 2018-2022. The research material consisted of 494 cases with orthopedic diseases in 3178 patients brought to Afyon Kocatepe University Veterinary Health Practice and Research Center between 2018 and 2022, including the breed, age, gender and location of the lesion of cats and dogs. Out of 494 cases, 313 dogs had mandible fractures 2,2% (n=7), humerus fractures 2,2% (n=7), radius and ulna fractures 11,8% (n=37), metacarpal, carpal and phalanx fractures 3,5% (n=11), femur fracture 13,7% (n=43), tibia and fibula fracture 13,7% (n=43), metatarsal, tarsal, patella, calcaneus fracture 2,2% (n=7), pelvic fractures (pubis, ilium, ischium, sacrum, combined pelvic fractures) 7,7% (n=24), spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar) and costal fractures 5,4% (n=17), luxation and dysplasia 24,0% (n=75), rickets, arthritis 5,1% (n=16), multiple lesions 8,3% (n=26). ın cats, out of 181 cats, mandible fractures 5,0% (n=9), humerus fractures 5,5% (n=10), radius and ulna fractures 5,5% (n=10), metacarpal, carpal and phalanx fractures 2,2% (n=4), femur fractures 18,8% (n=34), tibia and fibula fractures 13,8% (n=25), metatarsal, tarsal, patella, calcaneus fractures 2,8% (n=5), pelvic fractures (pubis, ilium, ischium, sacrum, combined pelvic fractures) 13,8% (n=25), spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar) and costal fractures 7,2% (n=13), luxation and dysplasia 25% (n=13.8), rickets, arthritis 1,1% (n=2), combined lesions 10,5% (n=19). As a result; among the fractures in dogs, femur and tibia fractures were most common, while hip dysplasia and luxation were the most frequent lesions. In cats, femur, tibia, pelvis fractures, and hip dysplasia and luxation were found statistically at the same rate. Keywords: Cat, dog, lesion, orthopedic, prevalence.
