Structure and theme in the novels of Kemal Tahir

In this study, the social realist writers of the Republican era of Kemal Tahir's novels examined. Review was created from two basic parts. In the first section, each novel of the writer were analyzed separately under the headings of structure and theme. Six structural element was reviewed;, the ID of novel, point of view, plot, time, setting and the world of the characters. In the theme, a prominent theme and themes in each novel were examined in the light of history, sociology, psychology, and philosophy. As a result of this section, as the narrator of Kemal Tahir, general characteristics of the characters he drew, creating style of plot, mission of setting briefly, the method followed was determined while the novel was editing. As a result of the review theme, in the period of Tanzimat Reform , Constitutional Monarchy and Republic were found with a wide range of topics. Kemal Tahir gave some thought to the evolution of society, the difficulties of mobilization and war years, social injustice, education problems, moral / administrative / managerial corruption, religion/conscience/labor abuse, the shortcomings in the legal and penal system, the historical conditions induced by the difference of Eastern and Western societies that make up the east-west conflict, the common denominator in the people of Anatolia combining attributes in these three periods. It was found that Kemal Tahir held a mirror to the social background of the people of Anatolia. In the second section, Kemal Tahir's understanding of language was explained. The language which the author uses in the novels and the characteristics of the style have been determined. By taking into account of the author's life history, focused on the parts that affect the author' style. The author's presentation techniques was identified which he used in his novels. Structural analysis of the words and sentences which the author used were analyzed . Thus, from a work of art to an idea, the idea which is reaching to the writer with this method all the elements that affect the process of the formation of a work of art were evaluated.
