Özet (EN)

Kemal Varol has produced works in many genres in our literature. He started his literary career with poetry and continued his literary career with novels, stories and compilations. In his works, he focused on the social relations and lives of the heroes and their relationships with their parents. In this study, the image of the father, the place of the father and the father-child relationship, which have a place in psychoanalysis and literature, have been tried to be examined based on novels. The aim of this study, which consists of three parts, is to evaluate how the image of the father is used in Kemal Varol's novels. For this purpose, the father image was first mentioned in psychoanalysis in line with the concepts of Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan. The study focused on Kemal Varol's novels Jar, Ucunda Ölüm Var, Âşıklar Bayramı, Kara Sis and Babamın Bağlaması. An attempt was made to examine the image of the father in the novels discussed.
