Investigating reelin gene polymorphism and reelin enzyme level at patients who referenced emergency cervice because of suicide or self HARM attempt

We aimed to investigate reelin gene polymorphism and reelin enzyme level at self-harm or suicide patients who have applied to the emergency department. This work includes 86 consecutive suicide patients who applicant Fırat University Faculty of Medicine Emergency Medicine Department and 100 Healthy control group's case. Subsequently related mutation region's primary's was designed, later searched related gen region which is designated morphism by Real Time PCR(Real Time merase Chain Reaction) method. Reelin enzyme level worked by ELİSA kit. According to our work as a total of 86 patients 52 of them were female, 36 of them were male, at the all age groups average age is detected 28.14±10.04. Totally examined 100 healthy control group.54 of them were female, 46 of them were male. Control groups average age was 32,52±13,71. %86 of patient group were live with their family, %74,1of patient group were live at town center. Reelin enzyme level comparison of demographic data of suicide patients and healthy control group, as a result BMİ and age related with reelin eznyme level is significant (p<0,01) detected. While suicide patient reelin enzyme level was 3038,31 (IQR:212,46-8044,21) ng/mL, the enzyme level of healthy control group was 2271,20 (IQR:77,67-7647,83) ng/mL. According to our work, while reelin enzyme work which is belonging suicide patients is significant, investigated that g.504742G>A polymorphism belonging to Reelin gene is meanless at these patients.
