Abstract (EN)
In recent years, the concept of globalization is reflected rapidly competition in global trade experienced in the urban economics. Changes in the global arena has increased the importance of the community element of competition. The concept of competition in the global point, has been minimized by internalizing itself.The most important example is shown in the down stroke of the national and international field of urban supremacy. During the history, city of Mersin is required to move forward importance of the competition by using the adjective as a Mediterranean port city in the global arena. Agriculture, tourism and trade flows, as a port city in the future is intertwined with the work specified in which sectors should be the center of gravity of the urban identity.
