Abstract (EN)

When people passed to settled life, the start of public life began to change the environment along with their own wishes and requirements. The cultural landscape is the landscape we perceive and surrounds our environment which transformed as a result of man-made changes and where place identity advance when inhabitants adopted intangible or tangible values as a collective memory that occur in the cultural landscape. But with rapid urbanization and a globalized world, our habitat, our city is transformed into uniform. In general, historic urban fabric, archaeological sites, authentic local housing tissue and traditional function areas are important determinants of urban identity. Because of the historical past to extent helenistic period and was an important city during the ottoman period, the antique city 'Prusias ad Hypium' or Konuralp is chosen as a search area in order to investigate the role of cultural landscape in the formation of urban identity. In this research literature, was reviewed, survey methods and remote sensing methods were used to study the town's cultural landscape elements and landscape character exchange between the years 1982-2015 and how it is perceived by inhabitants of the area. In order to conserve and enrich the urban identity of historical urban landscape area, proposals were developed according to the UNESCO's recommendation of 2011 without ignore the dynamics of the historical town.
