Abstract (EN)

Integration of space with people develops accumulation of meanings that occurs place. Urban regeneration projects realize the process of re-production of space. Important point of this narrative is the spaces which are constructed by the urban regeneration projects should integrate both spatial and thematic concepts to be a place.This study has been conducted over an urban space called King?s Cross, in London where the urban regeneration will continue to take place through the next years. King?s Cross is located next to City of London, and is close to the center of London. The regeneration project is labeled the `biggest project in Europe?. This thesis proposes that success criteria of ?placemaking? should be taken into consideration to evaluate the success of urban regeneration projects.
