Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, correct real datas which taken from labrotory studying and field work which have been done with lots of buildings that will rebuilt within law of urban renewal have been benefited 20 of these buildings have been selected. In these selected 20 buildings the most critical ten buildings have been chosen and six of them have been reinforced and controled with respect to 2007 Turkish Earthquake Regulations(TER) using Sta4Cad programme. Firstly, these buildings have been found existing performance level with datas which have been taken from made working with respect to law of urban renewal for quick. Have been generalized all flor of buildings. In these constructions which is used for dwelling had been aimed to provide performance level of life safety with respect to 2007 TER. Some parts of construction have been done with adding shear wall and some of these have been done with adding jacketing. In addition with these methods have been reached performance level of life safety. These reinforcement techniques have been applied on modelling and incremental equivalent seismic load method and incremental mode superposition method which are nonlinear calculation methods, have been used. Analysis being preformed, or previously preformed, program available material strength equip related conditions, values related to soil properties, and actually made and used values related to soil properties, were transferred to programs benefiting from actually made and used soil parameters. In researching that thesis in the scope of urban transformation, reports from all buildings have been taken to determine whether they are or are not necessarily the cause of the destruction. Out of structures from among the chosen buildings, with strength that is not as bad, using strengthening methods, is has been shown to obtain the required performance levels. All buildings without the need of demolition can be lived in, with solid structural strengthening, and with aesthetic renovation to the facades of buildings, results are achieved both for the environment can provide benefits to human health.
