Determination of the reletionship between urban green space qualities and access distances in the terms of user preference

This study demonstrates the importance of the actual green areas in Kahramanmaraş urban fabric for the users of some of the qualities and quantities that are effective in its access as a potential access time budget. The study consists of 8 basic stages. First of all, the green areas within the boundaries of the research area; which is children's play ground, neighborhood park, district park and city park were determined and classified according to the specified criteria. The qualities and quantities that can be effective in accessing green areas were analyzed with field studies. The importance of the green area qualities and quantities used in the fieldwork and their effect on the access time were analyzed with an online survey application. As a result of the comparison of the field study and the survey findings, the demand coverage ratios of the fields were found. As a result of the initial and arrival analysis applied using the access times generated from survey data in the CBS environment, access maps of green areas were created. The demand fulfilment rate of each green area was accepted as the opportunity value for the buildings in the access area. In line with the total opportunity values obtained from all the green areas that the buildings can access on the basis of type, planning proposals were tried to be made in terms of space and administrative dimensions. The findings obtained in the study are as follows: survey study, the highest city-town park in pedestrian transportation was given 16.4 minutes. The ratio of the buildings with the highest potential according to their qualifications was 0.5%. The facility scores of the buildings in the areas where green areas are concentrated in the study area are considerably higher than the buildings in the city limits.
