In this research, the effects of different 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) doses and storage types on storability of First Red rose variety were investigated.Research results showed that different 1-MCP doses (Control, 100 nl/l, 200 nl/l) and different storage types (dry and wet) were affected the storability and vase life of First Red rose variety. It is found that roses can be store at 4oC, 70% RH for 21 days inside the vase and at 0oC, 95% RH for 7 days as a dry storage with combination of 1-MCP doses, 1% saccarose and low pH concentration in vase. In both storage combination 200 nl/l 1-MCP dose showed better visual quality than the 100 nl/l 1-MCP dose and the Control in vase life.
