Abstract (EN)
The Cilicia zone witnessed considerable development not only being a trade junction but also having a suitable geographic location.The aim of this thesis is to obtain the origin of the marbles of the statues of a selected classical period. For that aim, Scanning Elektron Microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Diffactometery (XRD) analyses were performed on the samples collected from Mersin and Tarsus Museums .The results revealed that the trade zones were developed due to the variety of the marble used.
