Folkloric characteristics of Kilis-Musabeyli region

Folklore is a consept that is'public consciousness' which means to know and recognize the people. One of the most important elements of the cultural identity of the people is folklore.We have seen that Anatolian people live their traditions and customs in line with written and verbal sources and send them to the next generations in long period of time.These cultural transmissions often constitute verbal sources and visual sources.Oral resources were generally influential in the field of,folklore,and visual sources were generally influential in the field of folk dances.One of the most important elements bringing people together in a community in Anatolia is undoubtedly folk dances folk dances are one of the cultural values that reflect the identity and self of the place being performed.Folk dances, which are carried out by adhering to the traditions of communities,bring people together and bring them together in a conciliatory,peaceful way.Communities with tradition-depented forms of life have revealed their cultural identity at every stage of their lives.This research was carried out in order to investigate the cultural identity in the Kilis-Musabeyli region and to examine the cultural values that emerged.In this context,research has been limited to obtaining a limited number of sources from the written sources,mostly as a result of field surveys and interviewswith the local people and obtaining information.In the field research,the villagers of the Musabeyli region attended and recorded information on the people living there,resulting in interviews about folk dances, traditions and customs,costumes,folk dances,and folk culture.These people are available in the oral resources section of the research.The research was conducted in order to Show the way to the next research activities in the direction of local cultural services.
